Mehmet Demirtas
Hi!
I'm a researcher working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, theoretical physics, and mathematics.
I received my PhD in theoretical physics from Cornell University in 2021. From 2021 to 2024, I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the NSF AI Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Fundamental Interactions (IAIFI), a collaboration between MIT, Harvard, Northeastern and Tufts.
My research interests include:
Applications of machine learning to difficult problems in quantum gravity and algebraic geometry, particularly in string theory,Â
Theoretical foundations of deep learning,
Connections between quantum field theory and neural networks.
For more information about my research, see the Research Tab.
